Over the next nine years, that experience developed into a practical understanding of how Airbnb works day to day — from guest communication and pricing decisions to the systems needed to keep everything running smoothly.
What stood out over time was not a lack of good properties, but how much time and attention Airbnb demands from owners. Constant messages, repeated questions, and small operational tasks can make it difficult to stay organised, scale, or focus on the parts of the business you actually enjoy.
